Welcome to The Cat Practice! We are an award-winning veterinary facility dedicated exclusively to cats. We are located in the historic Lower Garden District of New Orleans at 1809 Magazine Street and the corner of Felicity.

Our cat hospital is a full-service veterinary practice, providing both Western medicine and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine.

We have a strong commitment to cat preventive medicine of diseases and illness and would love to be your partner in keeping your cat healthy for years to come.

At The Cat Practice, we have an in-house lab that allows us to diagnose our patients more quickly and accurately.

The Cat Practice stresses prevention not only in the area of annual vaccines, but also in parasite control and the prevention and early detection of disease in all of our patients.

Our practice provides a relaxing and spacious boarding cattery for our feline guests, and we offer morning drop-offs for your convenience every day including Saturday.

At The Cat Practice, our technicians treat our patients with love and care, understanding the importance of providing a stress-free visit!

Our Zen kennel was built for the sensitivities of our feline patients. An artistic fountain provides a soothing ambiance for the benefit of our boarding feline guests. Gentle music completes the atmosphere of our cat boarding facility.

At The Cat Practice we have an in-house pharmacy that allows us to treat our patients right away and send medication home when necessary.

At The Cat Practice, we are equipped with only the best for our feline patients, including a dental X-ray. Dental X-rays can show diseases of the mouth that would otherwise go undetected.

Located in New Orleans, just 20 minutes away from Metro City, we are an exclusive cat animal hospital. We are low-stress handling, Fear-Free Certified, and a Cat Friendly Practice® offering an abundance of services including wellness care, sick appointments, vaccinations, diagnostic care including x-ray and in-house lab, surgical care such as spay and neuter, pet dental, laser therapy, disease-modifying osteoarthritis drugs, boarding, and more. We are open five days a week and look forward to meeting you and your cat.
